Brushing up on Microsoft Office (10 weeks)

This class is designed to help learners brush up on their Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook, as well as revising file management.  This will enhance your office experience and give you the opportunity to apply for promotion, look  for other employment, or use this as a pathway to further study, training, and/or employment.

Cost: $220 full, $210 conc.

Dates: 9:30am – 12:30pm Thursdays.

Cyber Security, Privacy and Confidentiality (4 weeks)

Have you ever wondered if you and your business are safe when on-line? Do you know what your obligations are regarding computer security, privacy and confidentiality? This short course will provide a comprehensive introduction to assist you to review your business.

Extending Your Internet & Email Skills (8 weeks)

Do you know the basics of using the internet, but have trouble with certain things?  Move beyond the basics with this class. Learn to make complex searches, create distribution lists, send complex attachments, and do on-line bookings, transfers and much more.

Cost: $120 full, $110 conc.

Dates: 1.30pm – 3.30pm Tuesdays.

Intel® Easy Steps Basics – Computer Essentials (10 weeks)

This course develops basic skills in digital literacy. It introduces basic computer use, file and folder management, the safe use of Internet and email, and the basic functions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Cost: ACFE Learn Local $50         

          Non-ACFE $150 full, $140 conc.

Dates: 10am – 12pm Mondays OR Wednesdays. Proposed start date: 22 January & 24 January

 

Introduction to Digital Marketing        (10 weeks)

This course is designed for business owners or managers or for people who want a career in digital marketing. Digital Marketing is a way of generating sales and growing your business. The course will provide a “hands on” approach to online marketing to increase the digital skills and confidence of those who want more control over their marketing, or who want to have a more informed conversation with those in the industry eg web designer.

Introduction to Programming (10 weeks)

With the rise of computers, software development has become huge industry. This course will give you the tools to understand the ideas and processes behind programming, using the Python 3 programming language, and give you a head start in your journey down a very rewarding path.

Introduction to Publisher and PowerPoint (6 weeks)

This class gives you hands-on coverage of the basics of two very useful and easy to use programs. With Microsoft Publisher, learn how to make stunning flyers, newsletters, invitations, letterheads, brochures, business cards, and more. With Microsoft PowerPoint, make great presentations which include photos, sound, spreadsheets, animations, tables, and more.

Cost: $120 full, $110 conc.

Dates: 10am – 12pm Fridays.

Keyboard Typing for Beginners

Do you want to improve your keyboard typing skills? Book in to have access to a computer typing program.

Cost:  $2 per session

 

Make the Most of Your Android Phone or  Tablet (4 weeks)

Discover how to work with the Android system and all those special features and apps. Also learn how to personalise your hardware so that you get the most from your phone or tablet.  Students must bring their own device.

If you want to learn how to use Microsoft Excel 2013 for your job or daily personal use we have the course for you!  Microsoft Excel Essentials (Level 1) is designed to assist you in getting familiar with Microsoft Excel 2013 basics and beyond. We will take you step-by-step through the essentials of the program.

If you want to learn how to use Microsoft Word 2013 for your job or daily personal use we have the course for you!  Microsoft Word Essentials (Level 1) is designed to assist you in getting familiar with Microsoft Word basics and beyond. Discover how easy and enjoyable it is to use this versatile software to fix, enhance & manipulate your photos for use on the web, blogs, cards, etc. Includes practical tips about using layers, cloning, combining images and much more.

Web Design (5 weeks)

Come and learn how to design your own website using WordPress, a free, user friendly, online web design program. Identify your web business or personal communication needs. WordPress manual included in class fee.

Windows 10 Introduction (10 weeks)

So you now have the Windows 10 operating system and you are not quite sure how to take advantage of its features?  This class will enable you to master this new software and personalise your computer to meet your individual needs.  Students need to bring their laptops with Windows 10 operating system.
