Every year, Australian government organisations work together to protect and advise the community about scams. Scams cost Australians billions of dollars each year, not to mention the high impact on people’s emotions and lives. Scams are criminal activities so it is essential we know about scams and how to protect ourselves. This workshop will also include other services Consumer Affairs provides.

First Aid & CPR

Australian Red Cross Certificate course.

  • CPR /refresher Cost: $70 ($60 conc.)
  • Provide First Aid Cost: $190
  • Provide First Aid Refresher Cost: $155

Date: TBC

CPR and First Aid Refresher will be on a Saturday only; the full First Aid course will include online modules to be completed before the one day practical session.

 

Road Rules Refresher

Not sure how to negotiate the roundabout to the hospital, or the new roundabouts on Mason St? Wondering what recent changes have been made to the road rules? Unclear as to when you must stop before entering a roundabout? Then come along to this session with a Leading Senior Constable to learn about all the changes that have happened in recent times.

How to Protect your Home in Wild Weather

Winter is on the way. Have you been stressed during a storm?  Have you wondered if there was something you could do to make things more secure? If you have, or if you have any questions, please come along to this information session presented by the State Emergency Service. This session is designed to make you aware as to what you can do to protect your home in a severe storm.

Cost: FREE.
